The Arts Council is having a show August 2--September 12 focused on galleries - I think they plan to have work representing current exhibits or maybe representative of particular galleries - kind of like the shows they do for Artrails artists, etc. The person who talked to me about this, on their exhibits committee is James Millikan: jamesmillikan@earthlink.net.
Maureen Lomasney will be hosting her 3rd (or 4th?) annual Ashes to Art exhibit this fall - she is thinking it will be the end of Sept/early October.This year's exhibition will focus on biodegradable works, scattering tools, ritual objects. She wanted to try and link with several area galleries who are members of the SCGG on the weekend she opens - we could coordinate ourselves even if it meant having special receptions timed with hers - she spoke about Graton Gallery and Quicksilver
